The Legend, the one and only, the ship that sank the Hood in one shot, there can be only one... Yes, it's the Bismarck, the ship that lauched a thousand movies/books/country and western songs/myths/legends/memes. What more can you say? Let's find out!
On the other hand, some would probably prefer to set her up with two haymakers, a bow sidemount, a bow gun and two pumps, because patching is fun, you know.
I, however, think that I have had my fun patching, and would prefer the extra gun...
Bismarck is a speedy, 24 second battleship. While she has 3 shafts, her hull and stern area is large and tubby enough to mount a very large propellor, which gives her good acceleration. Additionally, she's large enough to power the outer shafts for good decleration too.
Bismarck is also the ultimate turning beast, with three shafts, and large twin rudders. With her wide beam and those rudders, she can spin with the best of them, and with her size, weight and firepower, she can thug other ships around mercilessly.
The downide to all this is that she is quite large, and there is plenty to shoot at. And your enemies will shoot at it. The good news to all this is that if you are a skilled battler, you can use that maneuverability and power to minimize their time on target, because that's about all the defense you have.
Bismarck is a great, big bruiser of a ship, and she requires a great deal of skill, both to build, and to battle effectively. One mistake or mechanical failure and you're just a big damage absorbing sponge out there. However, in the hands of a skilled builder and battler, she's an absolute beast.
Bismarck is the ultimate Teutonic thrill boat. She's got the speed, she's got the firepower, she's got it all. She's also got all the patching, but who cares when you have the power to smite at your fingertips. Cue the maniacal laughter. I love my Bismarck, and I look foward to many more exciting years of battling her.
