Ship Review:
Dante Alighieri

Dante Alighiere was Italy's first dreadnought battleship, and a bit of an experiment. She's very interesting, on the one hand, but ... yeah. Let me explain why.

Firepower: B Dante had an interesting and somewhat advanced gun arrangement of four triple turrets, all on the centerline. No superfiring. Yes, it's true, no superfiring. With four units, that pretty much limits you to a stern gun, and two sidemounts in the middle of the ship. Huzzah.

Did I mention Huzzah?

Speed: D

At 28 seconds, Dante is no speed demon. Inferno? Maybe.

Manuverability: D

With a single rudder, Dante's not exactly going to turn well, either.

Target Factor: C

With a raised forecastle and casemates, Dante's hull profile is similar to Von der Tann, but without the speed or decent gun configuration, she's just a slow relatively defenseless target.

Skill Floor/Ceiling: Moderate/Low

Given Dante Alighieri's slow speed, poor maneuverability, average target area and poor gun configuration, she would be a difficult ship to make effective at all. I think that on the water, she would be ineffective, even in the hands of an expert battler.

Conclusion:

Do you hate yourself? Then build this ship. I don't want to waste any more time on it.
